How we decide to spend funds

Funds raised from events are banked straight away and we decide how to spend that money at our committee meetings.

Our headteacher usually has a 'shopping list' of items that the school would like to purchase. Sometimes this is because of the children asking for something – as in the new playground equipment. At other times, it is for resources to improve a particular area of the curriculum or school environment. In the main, PTA funds are for the extras not provided by the school budget that make our children's learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting. The money we raise is usually spent fairly quickly so you can be sure that your child(ren) will feel the benefit.

In recent years, our aims have been to redevelop and improve the school’s outdoor areas and to increase the amount of I.T. equipment available to the children in the classrooms. But, while saving for these, we have still managed to find funds for smaller items – all thanks to the generous and continued support of our fantastic parents.

What we've bought

From our big annual events to pop-up cake sales and those very generous 50p and £1 contributions for special days in the year – the pictures above show what makes it all worthwhile.
