We are looking at ways to continue our fundraising during this school year and we will update this page soon with details of upcoming events.

 There are lots of different ways you can support the PTA through the year.

• Come along to our AGM and Committee meetings; perhaps join the Committee itself and get involved in contributing to ideas.
• Become a class representative and help fellow parents stay connected, support your child’s teacher by sharing information and help with gift collections for teachers and teaching assistants at key times of the year.
• Recycle school uniform.
• Help with a specific event – be it through planning, making tea and coffee at Saints days celebrations or giving us an hour to run a stall at a fair, when we can next run one.
• Share your skills – cake bakers, face painters, publishers, advertisers, printers, photographers, First Aiders – whatever your calling, we need your talents!
• There are always jobs that can be done from home and in small pockets of time, such as folding raffle tickets or wrapping gifts for the Summer and Christmas Fairs.

The logos above show some of the companies and organisations which we believe have cash matching schemes, some of which have already cash matched and given to our PTA.

There are several benefits to both ourselves and the company involved: 

• employees' morale is boosted by having their efforts supported by their employer;
• the company benefits from having charitable donations written off against taxable profits;
• the company can get positive publicity for their giving;
• our PTA benefits from receiving perhaps double what we have raised at an event.

Last year, we raised £2,800 just through cash matching, so it’s an invaluable contribution to our fundraising for the school. Your areas of expertise also play a key part in what we do. You might be surprised at the range of skills that are needed at the forefront and in the background of organised events. Online shopping is one of the easiest ways to raise funds for our PTA. With Easy Fundraising, when you buy anything from Amazon, Sainsbury's, Next, John Lewis, Argos and over 2,000 other of the UK’s best-known retailers, up to 15% from every purchase is donated to St. Joseph’s PTA.
